St. Joseph, MI — August 29, 2025 — Children’s Music Workshop (CMW) is proud to announce the appointment of Erika Osborn of St. Joseph as its new Artistic Director, effective immediately.
Osborn has served on the CMW Board of Directors since 2023 and has made a significant impact through her work on the Programming, Fundraising & Sponsorship, Strategic Planning, and Volunteer committees. Since July, she has served as Interim Artistic Director, bringing vision, leadership, and artistic excellence to CMW’s programming.
A highlight of her tenure was co-directing this summer’s Teen Stock production of Into the Woods, which became the most successful Teen Stock performance in CMW history — both artistically and in community attendance.
“We are thrilled to welcome Erika into this role,” said Jim Tyler, Board President of CMW. “Her leadership during our summer season, collaborative spirit, and deep commitment to our mission made this an easy decision. Erika understands the heart of this organization and the potential of every child we serve.”
In addition to her contributions at CMW, Osborn brings a wealth of experience from her involvement on the Christian Education Board at First Congregational Church of St. Joseph and the Board of Directors for St. Joseph Aquatics. Her background in community leadership, education, and creative program management aligns with CMW’s mission to inspire self-confidence, communication, and self-worth through the performing arts.
Osborn will oversee all aspects of CMW’s theatrical programming and youth engagement efforts, continuing to build on the organization’s legacy of empowering young performers across southwest Michigan.
